Sorry for the delay--it is showtime for Bristol Central! Come see Guys and Dolls at The Rockwell-BAIMS this weekend! :)
Today: ParentSquare went out to BAIMS Theater Concentration and drama club students with interest form. We have 6 spots open for the BAIMS 30 Roster. If we can't fill from there, the next move for that would be a PS to ALL BAIMS.
Returning students are next--interest form was sent on 3/26. Registration link to "yes-we are returning" will be sent next.
3/28
Reminder email sent to BAIMS students returning to RST. Please check to be sure you didn't receive one! If you did, you have NOT registered.
Next steps this week: fill rest of BAIMS-30 roster with theater concentration, general BAIMS students, and incoming 6th graders.
3/27
Registration link was sent to BAIMS families RETURNING to RST. (Students not in Triple Threat).
3/26
Interest form based on last year's roster was emailed. Please note this is an interest/status form and NOT registration.
3/24-3/26
Follow up email sent to BAIMS TT families that filled out the interest form. 19 people filled out the interest form and 18 filled out registration as of 3/26. Please check your email to make sure your child is on the list!
Next step: beginning Friday 3/26, fill rest of initial 30-student roster with
a. returning BAIMS/RST students
b. BAIMS theater concentration students
c. general BAIMS students
d. incoming BAIMS 6th graders
3/21
BAIMS-Triple Threat registration link sent via email to those who filled out the interest form.
3/20
BAIMS-Triple Threat interest form closed.
3/12/26
Pre-registration email was sent to BAIMS families enrolled in the "Triple Threat" after school program. There are 30 spots available to these students. This is the first step in our registration process. The interest form included in that email is due back by Friday, March 20. If your child is in TT but you did not recieve the email, please contact [email protected].
Once the students from that list are registered, the process moves forward in the following order:
1. BAIMS students (to fill this initial roster to 30)
2. Returning RST students
2. Siblings of Triple Threat students
3. Siblings of returning RST students
4. General public
The roster will not exceed 60 participants
That email also announced an important update about camp: the program is no longer free.
We were very lucky to have maintained tuition-free camp until now but our funding sources have changed and we would like to hire more staff and grow our programs. As a result, we will now charge a per-student rate of $360 with a sibling discount of $50 ($310). This rate is below that of local summer/sports/theater camps and we hope you find it reasonable. Tickets to the show will remain free--donations still accepted at the door!
GUSCO will provide payment plans and may be able to provide scholarships and discounts to families that apply and demonstrate need. We want to support your young actor as much as possible so please reach out.

General Camp Information
Students should not arrive more than 15 minutes early and students must be picked up on time. The staff will not stay more than 15 minutes after rehearsal. If extra rehearsal time is needed toward the performance date, you will be informed well in advance of the change.
*** Please inform the staff, in writing, or at morning drop off if you are picking up a student prior to ending time. Communication about schedule conflicts, etc is key to a successful rehearsal process. The program requires commitment, dedication and a team effort. DAILY ATTENDANCE IS MOST IMPORTANT!! We must be informed in advance of all vacation days or activities which would require absence from rehearsals because this will affect rehearsal scheduling.
Dress for rehearsals is comfortable, appropriate clothing which will allow freedom of movement and dance. Closed-toe shoes are preferable.
Students are not allowed to leave the school without permission and should not be in any other part of the school other than assigned areas.
Students should bring a lunch and a water bottle with them daily.
ONLY THOSE STUDENTS INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND REHEARSALS. PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO BRING FRIENDS.
If a student has any special medical or behavioral problems, please share this information with a staff member and in required documents.
Participant Expectations
1. Attendance –The show requires commitment, dedication and a team effort. DAILY ATTENDANCE IS MOST IMPORTANT!! We must be informed in advance of all vacation days or activities which would require absence from rehearsals because this will affect scheduling and casting. Emergency absence due to illness must be called in to the site coordinator by 9:00 that day. Call Jyllian at 203-558-5358 or Lindsey at 860-919-6801. Please do not call BAIMS. Our office managers are awesome but cannot field your questions/take messages etc as GUSCO/RST is a separate entity.
Please plan vacations after the program. If a child misses the program for vacation, it cannot be assumed that he/she can “make up” missed work. The rehearsal schedule is tight and once something has been taught, it is nearly impossible to fit in the time to teach it to someone who was not there. If a child is missing from the learning of a dance or scene, it is likely that he/she will not have an opportunity to be added after the fact. As always, it is our goal to include as many students as possible in as much of the show as possible. However, when students are missing from the ensemble, it is very difficult to “pretend” they are there when blocking dances and scenes.
2. Conduct – Students will behave appropriately at all times. This includes being positive and encouraging to other cast members, as well as being a productive member of the cast. Summer theater staff cannot tolerate anyone whose behavior distracts or inhibits the rehearsal process (talking, fooling around, not keeping hands to self, etc.) Working together is fun and exciting but we need to maintain a working environment which is conducive to our creativity and development!
3. Attitude – Theater is fun!! Theater is a group activity!! There is no “I” in THEATER!! This program is designed for students who love theater, want to learn more about theater, or are at least willing to try their hardest to do their best, no matter what they are asked to do.
4. Focus – Talent levels vary in Summer Theater. It is CRUCIAL that EVERYONE focuses and participates fully in all aspects of rehearsal. No one is exempt from giving 100%. This includes not only DOING, but also NOT talking and distracting when it’s not your turn to “DO.” We will not be tolerant of distractions.
5. Materials—All students are responsible for materials given to them during the program (i.e. Costumes, scripts, vocal books). Students who do not return materials will be charged for a replacement.
Discipline Policy
1st infraction – a warning and a phone call home
2nd infraction – dismissal from the program
